Who is the prime minister of India:


The head of government of the Republic of India is called the post of Prime Minister. The Prime Minister is appointed by the President every 5 years based on a majority of the members of the Lok Sabha. Also, the Prime Minister is responsible for assisting the President in his functions related to the government. Executive authority is vested in the Prime Minister and his elected Council of Ministers, the constitutional, nominal and ceremonial head of state is the President. India has had 14 Prime Ministers since its independence.

The first prime minister of India:

Freedom fighter Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was a member of the Indian National Congress party and was a Member of Parliament from Phulpur. When India became independent on August 15, 1947, Jawaharlal Nehru became the first Prime Minister of India. Lord Mountbatten appointed him to this post, and along with fifteen other ministers, he formed the first Nehru Ministry. His tenure was from 15 August 1947 to 15 April 1952.

First woman prime minister of India:

the first woman who became the Prime Minister of India was Indira Gandhi. She served as the Prime Minister of India for four full terms before her assassination. Which included three consecutive terms and one term from 1980-1984.

Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru: India’s first prime minister, Born on November 14, 1889, in Allahabad, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru received his early education at home from private teachers. When he was fifteen he left India and lived for two years at Harrow, England, whereupon he joined the University of Cambridge to take up his position in natural science. There was interest, so he inevitably joined the freedom struggle of India.

Gulzarilal Nanda: Nanda’s tenure was only for thirteen days. He twice became the interim Prime Minister of India, the first time in 1964 when the first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru died, and the second time in 1966 when Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri died.

Lal bahadur shastri: Former Foreign Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri’s tenure was from 9 June 1964 to 11 January 1966. Lal Bahadur Shastri became the Indian Prime Minister after the death of the first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru.

Indira Gandhi: (1960-1978) Former President of the Indian National Congress, Indira Gandhi became the first woman Prime Minister of India in 1966. His occupancy lasted from January 1966 to March 1977.

Morarji Desai: Morarji Desai became the Prime Minister of India on 24 March 1977. His occupancy lasted from 24 March 1977 to 15 July 1979. Morarji Desai led the Janata Party and won against the Congress Party in the 1977 Indian general election. Upon assuming office, Morarji Desai became the first Indian Prime Minister who did not belong to the Congress party

Chaudhary Charan Singh: Chaudhary Charan Singh’s birth date was 23 December 1902. On 14 January 1979, he became the fifth Prime Minister of India. His tenure lasted till 1980. He was called “Champion of the farmers of India”. Historians and people often call him Thi. He died on 29 May 1987.

Rajiv Gandhi: on 31 December 1984 Became the youngest Prime Minister of India. He was just 40 years old when he took the oath, Meena Agarwal wrote about him that even though he was sworn in as Prime Minister, he was a relatively unknown figure.

Vishwanath Pratap Singh: Vishwanath Pratap Singh became the Prime Minister of India on 2 December 1989. On 2 December he was sworn in as Prime Minister. From 2 December 1989 to 10 November 1990 was his tenancy period.

Chandra Shekhar: Chandra Shekhar was an Indian politician born on 17 April 1927. on 10 November 1990 Chandra Shekhar became the prime minister of India, the 8th prime minister of India. His occupancy lasted from 10 November 1990 to 21 June 1991. He headed a minority government, which broke away from the Janata Dal. Chandra Shekhar had his last breath on 8 July 2007.

Pamulaparthi Venkata Narasimha Rao: Pamulaparthi Venkata Narasimha Rao, better known as P.V Narasimha Rao, was born on 28 June 1921. Along with being a politician, he was also an Indian lawyer. Pamulaparthi Venkata Narasimha Rao was appointed as the 9th Prime Minister of India in 1991. His tenure lasted from 1991 to 1996. He introduced various liberals. Pamulaparthi Venkata Narasimha Rao died in December 2004.

Atal Bihari Vajpayee: Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s birth date is 25 December 1924. Atal Bihari Vajpayee was an Indian politician. Atal Bihari Vajpayee was appointed as the 10th Prime Minister of India in 1996. Before this, he had been the Chief Minister of Karnataka since 1994.
